Please note:

  • Every appointment requires an additional 20-minutes of "non-face-to-face supports." This time is reserved for the speech pathologist to do all the 'behind the scenes work', such as case note writing, reviewing case notes, therapy planning, and gathering of materials for mobile sessions. The "non-face-to-face supports" is $64.66 per 20-minutes.

  • We do not see NDIS participants who are NDIA-managed.

  • All fees will be discussed with you in advance and outlined in your 'schedule of supports' - no sneaky surprises here!

Intake Appointment

1 hour to 2 hours
$193.99 to $387.98

Includes:

  • Parent & clinician interview

  • Gathering of case history information

  • Rapport building between child and clinician

  • Clinician will gather informal observations and assessments

  • If time permits, formal assessment can commence

  • Creation of a 'schedule of supports'

Does not include:

  • A written report of results

Reports & Letters

0.5 hours to 3 hours
$96.99 to $581.97

The length of your letter / report will be discussed with you as it varies according to your needs. For example, a letter to your GP would take 30 minutes ($96.99). A general assessment report would take 1.5 hours ($290.98). A comprehensive assessment report, containing the results of multiple tests, can take up to 3 hours to write ($581.97). Please allow 4 weeks for report writing.

Assessment Session

1 hour (if needed)

Includes:

  • ​Assessment of your concerns. Assessments can be formal (standardised) or informal (observations of your child). â€‹

  • Assessment time varies due to a variety of reasons:

    • Some children need to break their assessment down into shorter appointments (e.g., 3 x 45-minute sessions). ​

    • Some children need regular breaks to support their attention.

Travel

Travel is charged at $1.617 per minute. We also charge 99c per kilometer travelled (this is our non-labour cost).

 

An example breakdown:

  • 15 minutes total travel time = $24.25

  • 12km total travel = $11.88

  • Total combined fee = $36.13

Speaking Practice

Therapy Session

1 hour
$193.99

Therapy sessions are mostly between the clinician and the child. In some cases (e.g., early intervention or stuttering therapy), parent involvement is very important. We will let you know how much we need you to participate in the therapy sessions. 

 

Therapy sessions can take place at home, school, or daycare. You will need to seek permission from school/daycare if you would like sessions to occur there.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Regular attendance is important to get the best results from speech therapy.

 

We also rely on open and timely communication about any changes to appointments. To help, we’ll send you a reminder text 3 days before each session.

 

If your child’s speech pathologist can’t attend, we’ll let you know as early as possible.

Missed or cancelled appointments can make it harder to reach therapy goals and affect the care we provide to other families on our waitlist. Frequent cancellations also impact our ability to continue our business and the important work we do.

Because of this, we have a strict cancellation policy:

 

If you cancel with less than two (2) full days’ notice, a 100% cancellation fee will apply. 

​

If you need to cancel at short notice and cannot attend in person, we offer other options to help maintain progress:

  • Telehealth

  • Resource development (e.g., visuals packet)

  • Home program with therapeutic activities

  • Parent-only appointment​

​

Thank you for planning ahead and letting us know at least two (2) days in advance if your child can’t attend.
